So I've finally bought the last two seasons of The Wire after finding them discounted to a price that I can actually afford. I was absolutely ecstactic ... until I discovered that the series is finally coming to British TV so I didn't need to buy them after all.
Typical.

That might be but The Wire is like a fine wine and should be savoured at will, not to be interupted by televesion bastard children, those dread adverts!
Enjoy the DVD's...
And if I hadn't bought the DVDs you just know I would've made it all the way to the end of the series and then missed the last episode.
That happened to Helen and myself... I was just about to put the final disc in and it was missing! You can imagine how we felt at the time.
